This page details the Third Party License that allows our fans to create mods, spin-offs, adventures, games, and other content using the rules systems and settings of our games listed in the license. This content can be published for free or sold without us taking a slice.
This Third Party License applies only to the games listed in the license (see Listed Games, below).
If there are any other games created by Caradoc Games that you would like to see added to the license, please let us know!
If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with any of the games listed in the license below without express permission from Caradoc Games.
Art and text from our books may not be reused or translated, unless you have our explicit permission. You can use the names of creatures, locations and entities of the game worlds.
The mechanics and game rules of the listed games may be reused and referenced freely.
Your product cannot use any of the Caradoc Games logos unless you have our explicit permission.
The Listed Games covered by this license include: Corsairs, Rascals, Foundlings, Owlbear Omelette, Prisoners of the Elf King, and Ganymede Outriders.
You are allowed and encouraged (but not required) to use the relevant compatibility logo.
You’re not allowed to give the impression that this is an official Caradoc Games, or Listed Game product or that we endorse or sponsor you in any way unless we’ve made special arrangements with you.
Caradoc Games takes no responsibility for any legal claims against your product.
Any legal disputes, controversies or claims related to this license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia and be settled by an Australian court.
The following text must be included in the legal text, somewhere visible in the publication, and on the website or storefront where you promote the product:
[Product name] is an independent production by [Author or Publisher] and is not affiliated with Caradoc Games. It is published under the Caradoc Games Third Party License.
This copyright text must be legibly included somewhere in the product and on the storefront, replacing [Listed Game] with the relevant Caradoc Games game covered by the license:
[Listed Game] is copyright Caradoc Games.
This license does not cover the creation of NFTs related to any Caradoc Games products.
Avoid sexist, racist, homophobic and transphobic tropes and themes in your content. If you can imagine worlds with floating ships, space craft zipping between worlds, drowned forests, goblins, and dwarves, you can imagine worlds without those particular brands of hatred.
This Third Party License borrows heavily (and with permission) from the wonderful folxs behind MÖRK BORG. You can find them here.
